Human (Armengarian)

Cildara was born in 1081 AF to mother Deribhle and Father Pronsious. Their family was not a happy unit for very long, as his father was more often than not on the walls defending the lands from the Calebi. His mother died in 1085 when then young Cildara was just turning 4. It isn't known is he remembers anything of his mother, as he speaks of his family little. In accordance with tradition Cildara was placed in training at the age of 5, but as well as being a quick study with a sword, he also showed to be of strong intellect and began to learn the basics of matematics and lore also. The Calebi attacks soon brought and end to training and so Cildara was forced to abandon his study to take his father's place on the wall when he was slain in 1090 AF. Being one of the younger Armengarians on the wall, he learned quickly, as in the heat of battle it is easy to overlook a nine year old. With the arrival of the Farseekers in 1091 Cildara began to learn the ways of magick from Mactire and soon grew to a minor understanding of its uses. After a few years he grew in power and stature and in time came to command a small group of men on one of the sections of the wall and in 1100 AF he was given command of a claw within the military.

At the Gathering of Nations 1101 AF, everything changed...

Suddenly there was no war, the constant battles with the Calebi had stopped, where was a boy who had grown in to a man in the heat of battle to go, how was he to live, without the fight....

In the Lions of Erdreja he began to know some sense of purpose, there was something to achive with them, whereas on Armengar things began to stagnate, without the treath of constant attack, the politions, the diplomats and the pacifists started to creap their way from under the blood stained walls.

On returning to the citidal, Cildara could not know content, practically leaping into the transport circle when invited to attend the Heartland Games of 1102 AF on the isle of Roac. It was at those games when Cildara finally put the battle songs and funeral laments of the Armengarian people to the rest of Erdreja, and so Cildara became a member of the Bards Guild of Erdreja. Through the contests of the Games, the thrill of being declared a Champion of the Heartlands, and the Tales of Wars from distant lands, Cildara's heart knew contentment.

But 1102 was not the year he had hoped it to be, back on Armengar Cildara felt alone amoung people he had spent his life with, no longer comfortable with their presence. The call went out for those to attend the Lions moot and Cildara again eagerly lept into the transport circle. On arriving there, he was greeted with the harsh news that Taliesan, Farseeker, and fellow Bard of Erdreja had been slain only a few days before. Then Corthar, a man whom he had never seen eye to eye with, but still by no means someone he would wish evil unto, died also, struck down while frozen by a powerful spell.

At the end of that weekend Cildara did not return to Armengar, he returned twice since then, once for the funerals of Taliesan and Corthar, the second to meet and discuss things with Rhyan and Caradawc. After the Gathering of 1102 AF he did not return to Armengar either, he must be spending the winter elsewhere.
