Entered the Caves of the Illithids 1104 AFRaised by his human mother, Mádra has no knowledge of his father, other than he was a Beastman of clan Lupus. His feral roots gave him great reverence for the land and the power which flows through it. Through years of study he learned to tap this power and gently bend it to his will. He now manifests this control through Magick. Having mastered the magicks of the land, Mádra swiftly found himself of use to the mercenary units of the Lions. Assigned to a unit called the Farseekers, serving under Chareos, he helped to explore new parts of Erdreja. This continued for several years, exploring, charting and investigating new parts of the land, until, whilst on a routine mission, the transport spell to take them back home misfired; throwing them wildly off course. Eventually, shaken, the Farseekers arrived inside a ritual circle, atop a high plateau, in front of them stood an imposing fortess, surrounded by rich farmland, behind them narrow passes let to unknown territory. All attempts to get the transport circle working again met with failure, all tests showed that the circle was very dead. Left with no choice they marched on to the citadel. Greeted at first with great suspicion by the residents, through use of sign language they made it known that they were lost and meant no harm. This was accepted by the locals, but it was not until the first Calebii attack that they were fully accepted. The knowledge of battle and tactics, as shown by Chareos showed the locals, now known as Armengarians, that not only were the Farseekers trustworthy, but also a great asset; each of them was given a new name by the Armengarians. Mádra was from that day known as Mactíre. From that day onwards Mactíre busied himself within the Armengar community, all of their written lore was lost, as was all their magical knowledge. To his surprise he found the Armengarians remarkably adept in picking up the subtleties of language, and from there he progressed to spellcasting. Whilst over the course of nine years Mactíre has only formed a small cadre of spellcasters, they are hardened, disciplined and more than a match for some others he had seen in Erdreja. With time and effort he hopes to develop a full magical military unit, capable of knocking down the toughest shield wall. Mactíre is a tough and capable man, respected and trusted as the High Mage of Armengar,whilst very well learned, occasionally the bestial side of him takes over making him almost feral and very quick to anger. After Alvar's death and Coircre's return to the forest, Madra left Armengar and gave himself over to the Illithids of Sammerix. There he sleeps unable to live in a world without his charges.
